ADULT Community Learning Essex, working in partnership with OM Sports Academy and Harlow Town Football club, is offering young people an exciting opportunity to apply for a Football Traineeship, beginning in January 2014.

Traineeships are a new Government programme designed to prepare young people for their future careers. The traineeship will last between six weeks and six months depending on the individual’s needs.

The traineeship will be based at Harlow Town Football Club and will include work preparation training, work experience in the football club and English and maths.

Trainees will gain an insight into the roles needed to work in a football club, such as playing, coaching, marketing, customer service and facilities management.

The opportunity is open to young people aged 16-18, who are qualified below Level 3 (A-levels or equivalent) and who are currently either unemployed or employed for fewer than 16 hours a week.

During the programme trainees will be given advice and guidance on how to find jobs with training or an apprenticeship. Trainees will be given an exit interview and a reference at the end of the programme.

If you have little work experience but are motivated to gain work or an apprenticeship, then this could be the right opportunity for you. ”
