Annabelle’s Skirtingboard Adventure at Harlow Playhouse

Harlow Playhouse / Wed 10th Jun 2015 at 06:53am

AnnabellesANNABELLE’S Skirtingboard Adventure is coming to Harlow Playhouse at 2.30pm on Saturday 13th June to give young children a theatre experience that combines film, animation and music, all created live before their very eyes!

The stage is set with furniture from a child’s bedroom and in it sits a bored little boy, Arthur. He is longing for an adventure and with the help of the audience Arthur imagines a tiny elephant called Annabelle and her friend Icarus the moth.

At first Arthur can’t understand the trumpet-like sounds Annabelle (played by musician Steve Pretty) makes but he calls on the audience to help him and soon Arthur, Annabelle and Icarus begin to understand each other.

A bedroom becomes a huge mountain when you are a tiny elephant so together they embark on the quest to reach the top of the bookshelf!

Annabelle’s Skirtingboard Adventure is bought to you by Howard Read, the creator of the hugely successful Little Howard shows, and is ideally suited for ages 3-6 and their big friends.

Tickets are £11 and are available from www.playhouseharlow.com or by calling the Box Office on 01279 431945.
