05th September 2015 League Away v Hadleigh & Thundersley

Harlow won the toss and elected to field

Result – Hadleigh & Thundersley won by 96 runs

Captain Rehman Ahmed won the toss and elected to field 1st in over cast conditions and soft wicket.
Nick Baxter got the break through immediately after being hit for 4 finding Oliver Smith LBW. This brought Adam Soilleux to the crease Hadleigh’s captain, he countered and batted to a partnership of 63 with Paul Tibbenham. Soilleux was then caught and bowled for 38 by Luke Heskett. Tibbenham went on to parter with pro Kellon Carmichael combining 69. It wasn’t till Hafiz Yawar was introduced that Harlow found a breakthrough finding the edge of Tibbenham for 40. Carmichael went on to score 79. Jack Wagstaff (46) and tail pushed Hadleigh’s total to 247/7 before they declared 51.5 overs in at the loss of a wicket. Baxter 3/52 and Yawar 3/48 the main wicket takers.

In reply Harlow started well with a partnership of 102. Before Alan Jones 42 was found LBW. The skipper entered the fray and was just getting away before a dubious LBW decision sent him back for 12. Hafiz Yawar continued to 69 before he was also found LBW. No other Harlow batsmen scored double figures. Harlows score went to 129/2 to 151 all out. Hadleigh’s wicket takers were Wagstaff 1/25, Dobson 2/25, Carmichael 3/35 including the final wicket. But it was skipper Soilleux who was pick of the bowlers picking up 4/20.

Harlow still managed to equal the clubs best finish 2 seasons in a row and look to push up and fight for promotion next season.
