HARLOW Running Club were represented at the Giants Head Marathon, a very
challenging and hilly but beautiful course running around the famous Cerne
Giant, near Dorchester in Dorset. Julia Gardiner finished in 39th place out of
372 finishers and 2nd Female Vet 35 in 4hrs 37min 49sec. She was followed home
by Sean Flynn 72nd and 3rd Vet 55 in 4.57.50, Sandra Rust 149th in 5.32.24,
Richard Smith 209th in 5.57.45 and Holly Nairn 210th in the same time.

Meanwhile at the Ards Half Marathon in Northern Ireland Andy Kinney finished in
475th place out of 602 finishers in 2hrs 09min 32sec. The following day Kinney
completed the Belfast Victoria parkrun 5K, finishing in 106th place out of 256
finishers in 26min 24sec.

At the Ramsey 10k in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, Daniel Jephcott finished in
29th place out of 279 finishers in a superb personal best time for the distance
(PB) of 40min 25sec and not far behind father Jamie was 31st in 40.35.

At an off road and very hilly Quendon & Rickling 10K Jon Steadman finished in
21st place out of 90 finishers in 47min 15sec and wife Vicky was 341st in 49.38.

At the Harlow parkrun 5K 17 year old Amaniel Tesfay was 1st finisher out of 149
finishers in 19min 07sec. He was followed by Andy Terrell (4th in 20.29), Graham
Saville (22nd in 23.57), Paul Schroder (24th in 24.12), Saira Muschamp (32nd in
24.51 PB), Nicola Smith (37th in 25.14), Robin Lozeau (45th in 26.04), Debbie
Barry (53rd in 27.28), Louise Cootes (54th in 27.55), Austin Nyamande (59th in
28.31), Pushpa Mistry (71st in 30.54) and Mark Bellworthy (78th in 31.25).

At the Hatfield Forest parkrun 5K Martin McColgan finished in 58th place out of
202 finishers in 24min 18sec, followed by David Page (76th in 25.27), Janice
Page (87th in 26.21) and Terry Pike (90th in 26.35).

At the Gunpowder parkrun 5K Jamie Luck finished in 21st place out of 151
finishers in 22min 11sec and Joanne Mills was 84th in 29.29.

At the Margate parkrun 5K Terry Ridge finished in 5th place out of 59 finishers
in 21min 39sec and wife Catherine was 14th in 23.13.

At the Colchester Castle parkrun 5K Spencer Brooks finished in 60th place out of
299 finishers in 23min 14sec.
