ON Saturday 22nd October 2016, members of Harlow AC’s (HAC) young endurance squad continued their fine form in the Great Run Series at Portsmouth in the Great South Run.

In the U17 Women’s race Lottie Rowedder was 5th over the 2.5k course in a fast time of 8.34 with Savanna Sirkett finishing in a well deserved 8th place in a time of 8.53.

In the U17 Men’s race pride of place went to Jamie Putt had a terrific run to come home just outside the podium places in 4th in a super fast time of 8.06 for the 2,5k course.

Jamie’s younger brother Sam finished in 93rd place in a time of 10.50.

The team head off to Hylands Park in Chelmsford for the second round of the Essex Cross Country League on the 29th October, where HAC’s athletes will be vying for Essex County selection for the upcoming SEAA InterCounties XC Champs in December 2016.
