HARLOW Running Club members training for a spring marathon completed the
Benfleet 15 as part of their race buildup. The 15 mile multi-terrain race was
hilly and very muddy in places with some sections still covered in snow. Rich
Hynes finished in 26th place out of 564 finishers in an excellent 1hr 45min
36sec, a personal best time for the distance (PB) by nearly 10mins. He was
followed home by Martyn Coulter 92nd in 1.59.17, a PB by 13mins, Sandi Rust
208th in 2.15.17 (debut), Kerry Mavris 382nd in 2.34.32 (debut), Karen Moir
416th in 2.40.08 and Martin Elven 458th in 2.47.00 (debut).

Meanwhile at the third round of the Metropolitan Cross Country League, held over
an 8K course at Trent Park in Enfield, Paul Schroder finished in 351st place out
of 428 finishers in 38min 20sec and Andy Smith was 412th in 43.40. In the ladies
race over a 6K course Anna Robey finished in 137th place out of 193 finishers in
32min 04sec and Louise Kedge was 155th in 35.12.

Andy Kinney completed two 10K races in two days. On Saturday he finished the
Victoria Park 10K in 217th place out of 323 finishers in 57min 46sec. The next
day he finished the Stubbington 10K in Hampshire in 1166th place out of 1646
finishers in 58min 47sec.

At the Gunpowder parkrun 5K Afewerk Rossom was 1st finisher out of 136 finishers
in a 16min 58sec, a PB and a new Under 20 Club Record. Rob Lowe was 2nd in 17min
59sec, Jamie Luck 14th in 22.03 and Austin Nyamande 61st in 28.13.

At the Harlow parkrun 4K Rich Hynes was also 1st finisher out of 160 finishers
in 19min 23sec. He was followed by Darren Tiley 2nd in 19.50, Craig Segal 4th in
20.39, Terry Ridge 12th in 22.34, Catherine Ridge 14th in 22.46, Martin Westley
36th in 24.27, Paul Dixon 37th in 24.27, Louise Cootes 51st in 25.34, Debbie
Barry 52nd in 25.41, Zoe Delaney 53rd in 25.51, Andy Smith 65th in 27.23, Peter
Mills 76th in 28.22 and Pushpa Mistry 96th in 31.47.

At the Hatfield Forest parkrun 5K Owen Haigh finished in 5th place out of 232
finishers in 20min 15sec, Jason Haigh was 13th in 21.11 and Justin Patten 58th
in 25.09.

At the Roding Valley parkrun 5K at Woodford Martyn Coulter finished in 16th
place out of 218 finishers in 20min 17sec. He was followed by Spencer Brooks
72nd in 25.06, Alan Wellbelove 97th in 26.49, Robin Lozeau 112th in 27.48 and
Brenda Clayton 149th in 30.28.

At the Hackney Marshes parkrun 5K Paul Schroder finished in 29th place out of
246 finishers in a PB time of 21min 42sec and Wendy Schroder was 86th in 24.26.

At the Alexandra Palace parkrun 5K Will Wall finished in 37th place out of 205
finishers in 23min 34sec.

At the Panshanger parkrun 5K in Hertford Sean Flynn finished in 91st place out
of 301 finishers in 25min 22sec.
