It is a huge honour to be elected as Councillor for Little Parndon and Hare Street and I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out and voted for me last week.
I can’t wait to get started and am looking forward to working with Jean and Tony, my fellow ward councillors, who have already done so much for the local community.
I can’t promise that I can sort out every single problem but what I can promise you is my hard work, honesty and determination. I look forward to speaking to many of you over the next few months.
Great victory for Labour on Thursday, showing that positivity works in the face of a terribly negative campaign by the opposition, some of whom couldn't even get the formatting of their leaflets right.
I am lucky enough to know Chris Vince. He is a hard working, intelligent and compassionate man. He will be a real asset to the community he serves.
No thanks to his predecessor you notice, who was forced out by Labour infighting! But if you think getting 60% on a 20% turnout - meaning only 12% voted for Chris is a great result - in what is the safest Labour seat in the town - then I suggest you think again!
