Harvey Centre set for seaside fun

Lifestyle / Tue 3rd Jul 2018 at 10:38am

THE Harvey Centre is all set for some seaside fun at their FREE summer event on Saturday 21st July.

The event will see the centre transformed into a seaside paradise – complete with palm trees, surf boards, deck chairs and parasols, plus shells, crabs, lobsters and starfish.

Children will be able to decorate and personalise their very own t-shirts with fabric pens, glitter and stick on gems – to wear with pride on their next day out at the beach or all summer long, while they play with their friends. Then they’ll be able to totally embrace that summer vibe with a fun glitter tattoo or festival style face decoration.

There will be a variety of seaside-themed games of skill to keep the kids entertained, including ‘hook a fish’ with great prizes to be won, as well as ‘hoop the seal’.

Families will also be able to enjoy some fabulously fun seaside themed photo opportunities – including one with the centre’s visiting dolphin ‘flipper’! Plus, Freddie the Fish will be making appearances throughout the day for hugs, high fives and selfie snaps!

All the activity will run between 11am and 4pm on the day in [the centre’s first floor dining area, The Terrace] and will be completely free to participate.
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre said, “We’re really looking forward to our Summer Beach Party! It’s sure to be a day for the whole family to enjoy, with lots of activities for everyone to take part in! The weather has been glorious so far this summer so we wanted to respond to this and bring the beach to the people of Harlow!”
