Harlow carer set to stand trial accused of stealing over £10,000 from vulnerable

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial accused of stealing over ten thousand pounds from the accounts of two men he was acting as a carer for.

Victor Brooks, aged 64, of Longfield, Harlow has pled not guilty to the following.

Between 01/01/2016 and 03/05/2018 at Harlow stole money from bank account, to the value of approximately £5885 pounds, belonging to another.

Between 01/01/2016 and 03/05/2018 at Harlow stole money from bank account, to the value of approximately £7885 pounds, belonging to another.

Between 01/01/2016 and 03/05/2018 at Harlow committed fraud in that, while occupying a position, namely Carer, in which you were expected to safeguard, or not to act against, the financial interests of another, you dishonestly abused that position intending thereby to make a gain, namely financial, for yourself

Between 01/01/2016 and 03/05/2018 at Harlow committed fraud in that, while occupying a position, namely Carer, in which you were expected to safeguard, or not to act against, the financial interests of another, you dishonestly abused that position intending thereby to make a gain, namely financial, for yourself.

Between 01/01/2016 and 03/05/2018 at Harlow committed fraud in that you dishonestly made a false representation, namely you fraudulently opened a bank account in the name of another, intending to make a gain, namely financial. for yourself.

Between 01/01/2016 and 03/05/2018 at Harlow committed fraud in that you dishonestly made a false representation, namely you fraudulently opened an Argos Store card and a BARCLAYCARD credit cardt in the name of another, intending to make a gain, namely financial gain, for yourself

Brook’s next appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court is set for August 7th.
