Police launch investigation after man alleged to have harassed Conservative Robert Halfon

ESSEX Police has launched an investigation into an incident which led to the Conservative candidate for Harlow Robert Halfon contacting the police and making a complaint of harassment.
YH understands that Mr Halfon and fellow Conservative activists were campaigning outside Lidl in Staple Tye, Harlow, when a male became abusive.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We received a call at around 2.45pm, Tuesday 26 November, that a man and a woman both in their 50s were being harassed outside Staple Tye Shopping Centre, Harlow.
“We are investigating the incident and would ask that anyone with information to call Harlow Police station on 101 quoting crime reference 42/187812/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
