Hospital marks the start of the festive season with unveiling of Christmas tree

PATIENTS and people gathered to mark the start of the festive season with the unveiling of a Christmas tree outside the Princess Alexandra Hospital on Monday, 2 December.

The tree, which is situated outside the main entrance of the hospital, adjacent to the public car park, was kindly donated by CLC Group, a property and asset maintenance services company which has recently carried out refurbishment work at two of our wards.

The Dolphin Ward (children’s ward) team helped to bring a smile to the face of 15-month old patient Indiana Swift, from Loughton, who came to see the tree with her mum, Clare.

They were joined by Michael Meredith, director of strategy and estates, and representatives from the CLC Group for the occasion.

Michael said: “We are grateful to CLC Group for their generous donation to our hospital.

“We are pleased to be able to welcome our patients, visitors and people with a lovely Christmas tree this festive season.”
