Tower Hamlets 1 Southend Manor 1

In the big bottom four clash the points were shared at Mile End as Tower Hamlets fought back from going a goal down to claim a point against Southend Manor. Both goals came in the first half, a superb volley from Grant Francis gave Manor the lead just before the half hour mark but the hosts levelled when Enoch Sogamile netted after being set up by Balde. But this energetic fast-paced encounter did not yield anymore goals in the second period which did see chances for both, so a draw leaves them fourth and third bottom respectively.

Woodford Town 1 Hashtag United 3

Hashtag United are back into second after they saw off Woodford Town at The Harlow Arena. The visitors had the perfect start when Anderson smashed home after a free kick was delivered into the box with only three minutes played, but in the 27th minute Woodford restored parity and it looked like the half would end all square, that was until two minutes before the break when Hashtag restored their lead as Albert Keith fizzed a ball in for George Smith to finish it off, and it meant the visitors went into the break ahead. Things got rather heated after the break with twelve minutes remaining, resulting in yellows for both sides, and then with three minutes left the hosts keeper received his marching orders for handball outside the box. And in added time Hashtag sealed the points when after Josh Osude had been brought down inside the box, Smith stepped up to slot home the penalty, meaning the visitors picked up the points.

Enfield 1 Redbridge 2

Micky Wetherall’s 400th game as a manager ended in victory as his Redbridge side saw goals from James Barlow and Taylor Tombides give his side the points and moved them up to 8th in the standings. Prince Adeyemi did net for the hosts but it’s another defeat for them and they remain second from bottom.

Hoddesdon Town 1 Cockfosters 1

Adam Bushell’s 92nd minute leveller saw Hoddesdon Town deny visitors Cockfosters the win at Lowfield. Ned Clarke’s 48th minute goal looked to be enough for the visitors to take all three points, but Bushell popped up in stoppage time to salvage a point for the hosts.

Sawbridgeworth Town 2 Clapton 5

Clapton have now won three of their last four games and are up to 11th now following a big win at strugglers Sawbridgeworth Town. Jaydon Charles gave the Tons a 25th minute lead but then saw Kasper Borowicz level for the hosts ten minutes later, and although Chris Londono restored the visitors lead after an hour, Ethan Barton made it 2-2 six minutes afterwards. But Clapton were not to be denied another win and went ahead for the third time when Asher Modeste netted in the 68th minute, before goals from Nana Boakye-Yiadom and Diemer Queni in the final fifteen minutes saw them to victory. It’s looking more and more desperate for Sawbo now, bottom with just five points and eleven points adrift of the rest with just thirteen games to go.

Sporting Bengal United 0 Saffron Walden Town 3

Walden increased their lead at the top back to five points after victory at Mile End against Sporting Bengal United. Jack Isherwood broke the deadlock in first half stoppage time, and then two late Gavin Cockman strikes sealed the points for the league leaders. Sporting slip to 14th after this latest defeat.

Stansted P-P Hadley

The match labelled ‘Game of the Day’ in the ESL sadly never took place as the Hargrave Park pitch was deemed unplayable meaning the game was postponed until a later date.

Takeley 3 St Margaretsbury 2

It’s been a tough week for St Margaretsbury after the tragic loss of Rob Teppett but they put up a brilliant fight against Takeley at Station Road, only to lose out to a late goal after leading 2-0 early on. Kyle Roberts had given the visitors a 6th minute lead from the spot, and he doubled that lead after just 18 minutes, but Charncey Dash pulled one back seven minutes before the break before levelling from the spot just past the hour mark. Elliott Long then popped up with ten minutes to go to complete the comeback and give Takeley the points, which keeps them 5th and now seven points ahead of 6th-placed Stansted. St Magaretsbury slip to 13th and will want to forget this week in a hurry.

West Essex 1 Ilford 0

It’s three games unbeaten now for West Essex after Michael Mignot’s goal six minutes before the break was enough for all three points against Ilford at Mayesbrook Park. It also means after going 98 days without three points, the hosts have now picked up two three-point hauls in seven days, like London buses you may say!!! This latest win keeps them 10th, whilst Ilford drop to 15th.

Peter Butcher Memorial Trophy 1st Round
Grays Athletic Reserves 4 Ilford Reserves 2

Grays second string set up a challenging Second Round tie at home to Hadley after they overcome Ilford’s Reserves at Lakeside. Manraj Phagura netted a hat-trick for the hosts and Harry Baker netted the other goal, whilst Ryan O’Connell and Nahed Shariff netted for the loosing visitors.

Peter Butcher Memorial Trophy 2nd Round
Witham Town Reserves 2 Frenford Reserves 1

A Brad Morgan brace helped Witham Town’s ressies to a 2-1 win over Frenford Reserves to set up a Quarter Final tie against either Walthamstow or Harlow Town Reserves. Ian Sawyer netted for the visitors who go out of the competition.
