Harlow man disqualified for drug driving

A HARLOW man has been disqualified after a conviction for driving under the influence of drugs.

Jack Garbutt, aged 20, of Altham Grove, Harlow pleaded guilty at Chelmsford magistrates court to the following.

On November 7th, 2020 on Tripton Road, Harlow, you drove Vauxhall Corsa when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Benzoylecgonine (BZE), in your blood, namely not less than >800 micrograms of analyte per litre of blood, exceeded the specified limit.

On November 7th, 2020 at Harlow had in your possession 10.6 grams of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Garbutt was fined £135.00 and banned from driving for twelve months.
