A HARLOW resident has been charged with assaulting a prison officer.

Eddie Achunche, aged 45, of HM Prison and Remand Centre, Springfield Road, Chelmsford has been charged with the following.

On January 16th, 2021 assaulted Martin Hollings, an emergency worker, namely a prison officer, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

Achunche was remanded on unconditional bail until November 8th, 2021 at Chelmsford magistrates court.
