Harlow man charged with three assaults plus using coercive and control behaviour

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial over three allegations of assault as well as using coercive and controlling behaviour on a woman.
Dan Wernham, aged 34, Orchard Croft, Harlow has been charged with the following.
Between May 1st, 2021 and September 20th, 2021 at Harlow repeatedly or continuously engaged in behaviour which was controlling or coercive, namely used violence on multiple occasions in a bid to control the victim, towards a woman, to whom, at the time of the behaviour, you were personally connected in that you were partners, that behaviour having a serious effect on her and you knew or ought to have known that the behaviour would have a serious effect on her.
On September 18th, 2021 assaulted a woman.
On September 18th, 2021 assaulted a man.
On September 18th, 2021, assaulted a woman.
Wernham has been remanded in custody until November 15th, 2021 at Colchester Magistrates Court.
Wernham pleads not guilty.
