Harlow man set to stand trial over allegations of historic child sex offences

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial over allegations that he committed a number of sex offences against a child.

Geoffrey Rance, aged 60, of Victoria Court, School Lane, Harlow has been charged with the following.

Between March 25th, 1999 and March 24th, 2003 at Harlow indecently assaulted a girl under 14.

Contrary to Section 14(1) of and Schedule 2 to the Sexual Offences Act 1956.

Between March 25th, 1999 and March 24th 2003 at Harlow committed an act of gross indecency with or towards a girl under the age of 14.

Contrary to section 1(1) of the Indecency with Children Act 1960.

Between March 25th, 1999 and March 24th 2003 at Harlow committed an act of gross indecency with or towards a girl under the age of 14.

Contrary to section 1(1) of the Indecency with Children Act 1960.

Rance is set to stand trial on December 12th, 2021 at Chelmsford Crown Court.

He has pleaded not guilty.
