A MAN HAS been charged in connection with an incident where a woman was assaulted in Harlow.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Ward Hatch (Tany’s Dell) at 8pm on 29 December to reports a woman had been punched and kicked.

“We attended and a 32 year-old man was arrested”.

Edwin Booth, of No Fixed Abode has now been charged with ABH, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.

He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 1 January and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 28 January.
