HARLOW Running and Tri Club competed in the final race of the East Herts and West Essex Cross Country League over a muddy 4.5 mile course at Ware. In the Ladies race Lucy Barnes was once again 1st finisher in an excellent time of 29min 39sec. She was closely followed by Terri Wiley in 3rd place in 31.58 and Catherine Ridge 6th in 33.16.

In the Men’s race Rob Lowe finished in 8th place and 1st Vet 50 in 28.28 and Pas Blackwell was 9th in 28.38.

At an individual level Lucy Barnes won the Senior Ladies Trophy, Rob Lowe the Men’s Vet 50 Trophy and John Tennant the Men’s Vet 70 Trophy.

Meanwhile, at the Run Through Victoria Park Half Marathon Lee Webber finished in 196th place out of 302 finishers in 1.56.05 and Sandra Webber was 198th in a PB time of 1.56.07.

At the London Winter Run 10k Dominic Emery finished in 1508th place out of 8681 finishers in a PB time of 50.38.

There were parkrun PB runs from Luella Dixon at Harlow parkrun, finishing in 140th place out of 221 finishers in 32.12, and from Jermaine Shand at the Gunpowder parkrun at Waltham Abbey, finishing in 13th place out of 148 finishers in 20.38.
