Man pleads guilty to assaulting paramedics whilst drunk in charge of a child

A MAN has been given a community order after assaulting two paramedics in Harlow whilst being drunk in charge of a child.
Joseph Kiplangat, aged 31, of The Hornbeams, Harlow pleaded guilty to the following.
On September 16th, 2021 at Harlow assaulted an emergency worker, ambulance crew, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

On 1September 16th, 2021 at Harlow were found drunk in a public place, Wych Elm while having the charge of a child under the age of 7 years.

The court found that the offence was aggravated by being committed against an emergency worker acting in the exercise of functions.
He was made subject to a community order and carry out 40 hours within the next twelve months.
He was also fined £300.00
So really he got away with it.
Yet again another example of how emergency staff are let down by the courts. If you hit or hurt a dedicated member of the emergency services then a prison term is they only option. Let protect those who protect us.
