I wish the police would treat all crime as seriously as hate crimes. From experience I can tell you if you report a hate crime they will respond very effectively, but if you are a victim of theft or vandalism the response is some what lacking.

😳.. They only investigate when it suits .. i was verbally abused and threatened with being stabbed .. Essex police decided as I never knew him they would not take it further .. seemed that it was ok for the young man to abuse and Threatened a woman .. but if I was the one who abused and threatened him different matter I’d have been charged ..

Robert, Clearly you are yourself a homophobic person, what an utter waste of oxygen! It’s about time the police did investigate. It’s a real crime!

Hate crime is a real crime. It’s as criminal as the mindset that thinks it isn’t. I’ll bet those who think otherwise have never been persecuted, abused or attacked for loving who they love. It is exactly for these reasons that Pride Month is as important as ever. I long for the day when it isn’t needed but whilst such ignorance and intolerance persists we will continue to celebrate and educate. Love wins!
