Cricket: Tye Green withstand the heat to secure vital win

Cricket / Sun 10th Jul 2022 am31 07:54am

AFTER a fantastic game today even if the weather was hotter than hot, Tye Green CC were put into bowl and they made a very good start.

Wickets from their opening pair of Safi Judeen and Jack Tracey kept the run rate down very low.

The first bowling change saw a father and son combination of Peter Jackson and Callum Jackson, with the younger taking a superb wicket and keeping that important run rate down.

Then was the time of Sonu Dominic amd Trumayne Lintonbon-Baker who took 5 wickets between them saw the opposition of Old Minchadanians finish on all out for 125.

Tye Green opening pair of Safi Judeen and Trishan Fernando put on 41 before losing a wicket then 2 quick wickets saw Jay and Mark enter the frame and they managed to see the club over line.

Jay not out with 38 and Mark with 50 not out. It was a fantastic effort from all involved and the hospitality shown from Old Minchadanians was fantastic.

Onwards for Tye Green CC who face a hard game next week at home against Edmonton CC.
