WITH the possibility that the temperatures could reach cosine to 40 degrees, some schools have decided not to open today.

Kingsmoor Academy on Ployters Road in Harlow is one of them.

A school spokesperson said: “In light of the red weather warning and extremely hot temperatures, school will remain closed today to all staff and pupils.

“We will return as normal tomorrow Wednesday 20th July! Stay cool and stay safe”.

For most schools, it seems to be business as normal with either lessons taking place or som year groups on field trips.
