DRAMA studies were brought to life as students took a trip to the West End.

A group of 40 Year 7 students from Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, watched Les Misérables in London.

The reward trip tied in with their studies on the play in their drama lessons.

Drama teacher Ella Brady said: “We are looking at the performing text drama scheme of work so it was a great opportunity for students to see real actors performing the text they are rehearsing and exploring in lessons.

“The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the theatre. For a lot of them, it was their first experience of going to the West End to see a show. They were mesmerised by the stunning set and the incredible performers, leaving them inspired and excited for their upcoming performance assessments in drama later on in the term.”
