ON Thursday 18th August Innovation Multisport’s Andrew Kitson and Paul Schroder represented Great Britain in the Age Group World Aquathlon Championship in Samorin, Slovakia. The event saw competitors swim 1km in the Danube river before running 5km in temperatures in excess of 30°c. Andrew completed the event in a total time of 39 minutes and 5 seconds to secure a 10th place finish in the 45-49 age category. Paul’s time of 48:42 was sufficient to ensure that he placed 22nd in the 40-44 age category.”
Meanwhile on Sunday 21st August, Kelly Burgess, also from Innovation Multisport completed her 50th marathon, at The East Hanningfield Trail Marathon just past Chelmsford. It was a bit different to most events as it was self-navigating, no marshalls and no directional arrows!
Kelly has been on a mission to complete 50 marathons before turning 50 this September. Some of the 50 events have been further than 26.2miles, 7 Ultras, the furthest distance being 100k in one go! Racking up a total of 1,395.6 miles over 50 events in just over 5years. That’s not including all the training runs amd other events. Her next target is to reach 100 marathons!
I had no doubt that you would achieve this Kelly. You are the motivational inspiring running buddy anyone could ask for and you will certainly achieve 100
