THE Harvey Centre is delighted to announce that they have raised £2,735.25 for charity with a day of fun-raising on Saturday 24th September 2022.
The Centre joined forces with One Great Day to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Haven House Children’s Hospice, two children’s charities that are close to the hearts of many families in Harlow.
The Harvey Centre ran a tombola with some fabulous prizes up for grabs, including a Family Ticket to Paradise Wildlife Park, a Spurs signed Pennant and a star prize Hugo Boss watch, generously donated by The Harvey Centre retailers.
Two talented artists helped to make the day a success with visitors having the chance to be transformed into a fun Caricature. Customers also marvelled at the amazing talents of Balloon modeller Sarah, and waited in line to have their face painted to celebrate.
Further entertainment was provided by 10-year-old Immi Davies, local superstar and friend of the Centre who drew quite a crowd as she sung lots of well-known song for shoppers to enjoy.
In addition to public donations, The Harvey Centre also received generous donations from a number of their retailers and partners, who were keen to help support such a worthwhile cause.
All proceeds from the day will be split equally between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Haven House Children’s Hospice as part of One Great Day. One Great Day is a registered charity, initiated in 2014 by parents whose son received care at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Bryan Young at the Harvey Centre said: “It is always wonderful to see the community come together for our One Great Day events at The Harvey Centre. We are absolutely thrilled to have surpassed our 2021 grand total and to be able to donate this equally between 2 deserving charities”
