WAFFLE and More on Broad Walk has added over 30 retro machines including air hockey, pinball machine, table football, each with 3,000 games on.

Classics such as Pacman, Space Invaders and Super Mario are just some of the 100,000 game variations available to play. All machines are two-player and one actually is for four players.

They have done this in the hope that it drives more customers in as the cost-of-living rises, and customers will want more value for money, and can treat the kids (and themselves) without breaking the bank.

Waffle & More owners, Alan and Leva Wright, said: “I wanted to put a little extra into the shop and a bit of brand awareness and hopefully get some customers in.

“I’m a great believer of value for money, I think we have managed to do that, instead of increasing our prices, we have actually reduced them or kept them the same.

There are currently 30 stand-up machines in the shop, as well as some family-based games. The venue is great for all ages and is more focusing on a more family atmosphere, as well as private hire packages, “which they guarantee are the best value in town”

Mr Wright added: “We have been doing parties, but they weren’t taking off as we would have liked, but since we advertised this, we have had a lots of bookings already, especially around the Christmas period.

“We are also doing private bookings so people can get the whole room to themselves and if it is a birthday party then they can play all games for free and then get a table in the restaurant, our private hire packages start at just £150 for 15 guests including food.

Mr Wright said: “We are very family orientated, and try and get the families in and we appreciate the cost of living and things.

“We will also offer different deals at all times, and always have offers within everyone’s budget”

The store also is changing putting some machines into its Bishops Stortford store in the coming weeks as well, although on a smaller scale.

Mr Wright said: “I am sure people of Harlow will appreciate our offerings because the price is good, and the kids are able to go and play, and the adults are able to sit and have a coffee or something, or join in the fun with their children”

They have some great after school deals starting from just £3.99, and some great package deals including arcade and food form just £4.99.

Adding that in comparison and local research into other type similar venues, we come out on top for value for money at all times. 

Mr Wright added “ Quaser for instance is £7 for one 20 minute game and no food included, local bowling an average game is £7.00, ( but the reality is one child will only get 10 minutes play) with us you can get food and two hours play for the same price.

Mr Wright added, that he will guarantee to match or beat any like for like deal in the area.
