START: Thurrock is seeking a part time Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and deliver a compelling communications strategy that conveys our vision for a community-led cultural programme and fosters wide-spread public engagement in culture.   

This role is about growing local audiences for culture and communicating a sense of place. You will develop the START: Thurrock brand and connect our work with a broad range of audiences, participants and stakeholders, whilst also capturing and communicating our story and our impact. As well as activating broad and diverse public engagement, you will also be a strong advocate for community-led cultural programming.   

£27,000 to £30,000 FTE, per annum  
Part time, 0.6 FTE, fixed term contract to 31st March 2025

Engagement Producer 

 
START: Thurrock is seeking a dynamic Engagement Producer to deliver an ambitious community-led cultural programme that will drive up cultural engagement and provision in our towns, villages and landmark locations. 

This role is about making the programme happen. You will realise our community’s creative ambitions and deliver a diverse and exciting cultural programme, ranging from creative commissions co-produced by residents and the cultural community, through to large-scale public events.  

You will cultivate meaningful relationships between communities, creative practitioners and cultural organisations and bring solid experience of facilitating public-led cultural programming. 

£27,000 to £30,000 per annum 
Full time, fixed term contract to 31st March 2025

Programme Coordinator advert 

START: Thurrock is seeking a part time Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of an ambitious community-led cultural programme that will drive up cultural engagement and provision in our towns, villages and landmark locations. 

This role is about providing comprehensive and proactive administrative and financial support to the START: Thurrock programme and team. You will keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly and have proven capacity to support all aspects of programme delivery. As well as being an efficient and highly organised coordinator, you will also be a passionate advocate for community-led cultural programming. 

£22,000 to £24,000 FTE, per annum 
Part time, 0.6 FTE, fixed term contract to 31st March 2025
