A POLICE investigation has begun after a seventy-year-old cyclist was knocked off his bike in Harlow.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Foster Street in Harlow at around 12:45pm yesterday (5 December) following reports of an assault.
The victim was cycling when they were approached by two people on motorbikes and pushed off.
The victim was taken to hospital for injuries to his head.
This assault remains under investigation and no arrests have been made at this stage.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police quoting incident 521 of 5 December”.
Commonside road, looking at photo at the bottom of Fern Hill Road oh I wonder who were on the motorbikes
This occurred on Harlow Common, NOT on Commonside Road.
This picture is commonside road. There are 2 road humps... this picture is in the direction of the old pink cottage?...
Read the label on the road! More to the point anyone have any CCTV.
Foster Street is the top end of Potter Street
Some folks need to go for a walk in the town and open their eyes. This isn't commonside road. So sorry Kevin but the ones you seem to be hinting at aren't necessarily to blame.
This picture had changed from yesterday The one yesterday was on the corner of Lodge Hall and fern Hill Lane NOT Harlow Common
Why do you think that is Kevin? They hate to stir up tensions from certain communities, so they will avoid any evidence of certain culprits.
This picture is definitely Harlow Common. So can people stop tying to stir up hatred towards Travellers. It is actually an offence under the law. Hopefully, Essex Police will ask the editor for details.
It is not an offence David to display the correct evidence of an offence. It is however an offence to blame any group/person without evidence. That's not whats being done here, no one has stated that it was tge traveller community. We are merely stating that the correct location should be displayed, which just happens to be near a notorious traveller site.
Highlighting Fern Hill Road/Lane is an obvious reference to the Traveller site, whereas the photograph is evidence that the offence took place in Harlow Common. If people feel they are not inciting hatred to Travellers, then have the courage to display your real names including surname.
Why would you want people's anonymity to be removed David? What purpose would that serve, or was that a carefuly construed thrat to people's safety? Perhaps essex police should be taking your details?
