WHEN the lettings manager at Reyland Johnson estate agents saw the plight of people who had suffered as a consequence of the earthquake on the Turkey/Syria border, she felt she had to do something.
So Natasha Demetriou went down to Asda and did a weekly shop to send off to the two beleaguered countries.
But when Natasha got back to the office, directors, James and Ben said they could not sit back and let her pay out of her own pocket.
So, in typical Reyland Johnson style, the company paid for the goods.
Natasha had also seen the work done by Hazel of Hazel’s Kitchen in Slacksbury Hatch in collecting items to help victims.
Natasha said: “I have no connection with Turkey. I am of Greek Cypriot heritage but I saw the pictures on television and just wanted to help.
“Not only have ten of thousands died but the survivors have no homes, no water and no electricity.
“I would just like to think that every little helps”
