THE Harvey Centre brings a sweet smile to poorly children at The Princess Alexandra Hospital ahead of Easter Weekend.
The shopping centre management team at The Harvey Centre, Harlow hopped over to The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust today [Thursday 6th April] to surprise the children with an Easter treat and a chance to cuddle the centre’s popular lovable mascot bunny.
The centre team were chaperoned around the wards by the hospital’s play specialist April. Children of all ages throughout Dolphin Ward and the Children’s Critical Care Unit were overcome with delight, with an older patient telling the nurses on duty that she ‘couldn’t wait to put it on her
Tik Tok’!
The Dolphin Ward at PAHT cares for children with a wide range of medical, surgical and orthopaedic conditions in both the West Essex and Hertfordshire areas and the Critical Care Unit delivers specialised care to patients who are critically ill and need close observation.
Danielle Trouvé, Centre Administrator at The Harvey Centre says, “To see such joy on the children’s faces throughout the wards that we visited today was very humbling. Capturing sweet moments and being able to share our Easter Bunny Mascot with our local hospital was very special. I’d like to say thank you to the PAHT on behalf of all of us here at The Harvey Centre for allowing us to visit today.”
