This isn’t fake news, my son unfortunately was the child who found this poor man, who was naked and had what seemed like stab wounds.

Might the Police, Council and our MP get together to look at the patterns of crime in Harlow and act to be tough on the causes of crime as well as crime itself: the indications are not good , there's the Water Lane shootings, the Hospital pond tragic death, machete welding teens on motorbikes, open drug dealing and now this. The reports implies the fire may be arson and the death is a tragedy. Harlow has recently been identified as having some of the most disadvantaged children and adults in the uk as well as wealthy middle class areas. The overall picture doesn't look good. More police and CSOs would help but it has to be admitted that policing alone is reactive and doesn't solve the underlying issues and problems. The Council and government need to be more creative and think more deeply. It's the last part of Tony Blair's mantra "Tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime" that's relevant and most important. Discuss!

Not all of these crimes are caused by people living in Harlow. So many people come into the Town to do no good and disappear to various areas via the motorways and A roads. Things that at first appear to be minor get blown up into violence and sometimes death. What doesn't instill you with confidence is not just the lack of Police in and around the Town but that the Police Station is only open during normal office hours!!! We are a major Town not some small village so was that the best decision to only have a part time Police Station and close down our Courts.

I was there in my mother’s car when the two little boys jumped the fence and ran from the building, one was sick, the other ran for the community centre, we knew something was wrong but thankfully there were people helping them, we didn’t know until monday that a body had been found. I hope your son and the other child are okay.
