GIVE your furniture a new home, and turn it into St Clare care!
Have you got a sofa looking for a new home? Or perhaps a dining table and chairs that isnt getting the use they deserve? St Clare Hospice has the answer!
The Hastingwood-based hospice charity runs a free furniture collection service across West Essex and the borders of East Herts, the catchment area of the Hospice. The sale of donated furniture in their nine charity shops raises approximately £70,000 each year – which is enough to fund the running of the Inpatient Unit for around 12 days.
The charity is looking to grow the amount raised by furniture donations and sales, and is holding a donation-drive across their patch.
Donna Evans, Charity Retail Area Manager, said: “Donations of furniture are a vital source of income for St Clare – and help to contribute to the hundreds of thousands of pounds out shops are targeted to raise each year. Not only that, but customers love to find a sofa in good condition, or a chest of drawers they can upcycle – which makes it a great way to shop sustainably and help the planet. If you are re-decorating or having a change of style at home, please think of St Clare Hospice as your first port of call for your pre-loved, good quality furniture!”
St Clare Hospice offers a free furniture collection service, collection in Epping Forest, Uttlesford, Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford.
