A MAN has been arrested in Harlow on suspicion of a sex offence in relation to a child.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We attended an address in Harlow shortly before 8pm on Monday August 7th responding to intelligence received over an alleged sexual offence.

“Officers arrested a 46-year-old man, from Harlow, on suspicion of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.

“He remains in custody for questioning.”
