£23,400 – £24,862 PER ANNUM
£12.00 – £12.75 PER HOUR

Who are we?
St Elizabeth’s is a centre of expertise in supporting and educating young people with moderate or severe learning difficulties or other complex neurological conditions potentially caused or complicated by epilepsy. We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and committed Care & Support Workers to join our Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Children’s Home.
We are based in a beautiful countryside location in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, which is a 10-minute drive from Harlow. We do also offer a staff transport service with several pick-up points across Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth meaning if you are living locally, you can still reach us.
As a Care & Support Worker, you will:
Support children and young people in various aspects of their life, maximising their potential in leisure and learning – whilst ensuring fun is at the heart of everything we do!
Promote independence and learning in line with well-being and goals
Prepare meals and in some cases, support our children to develop this life skill
Keep the home clean and tidy, maintaining a safe, homely and nurturing environment
Support children’s personal needs including social, hygiene and medication
What we can offer?
· Full time or part time hours available – between two or five shifts per week
· Mixed shift pattern of earlies and lates (07:00 – 14:30 & 14:15 – 21:45)
· Rated ‘Good’ across our children’s services by Ofsted
· All training and qualifications provided – opportunity to pursue a fully funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Child Care
· 20% uplift on your salary for working overtime on a Saturday & Sunday
· Free onsite parking
· Paid enhanced DBS

What we are looking for?
We are looking for caring individuals to support children and young people aged 5 – 19 years and to provide them with opportunities to “live life to the full”. Ideally you will have some previous experience of working in care or education, but if you can commit to being dedicated, motivated and adaptable, then you are just the person we need.
