UK sales of vinyl LPs have hit their highest level since 1990 as the revival of the physical music market continues reports the BBC.
Sales rose by 11.7% to 5.9 million units, increasing for the 16th year in a row, according to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) trade group.
Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) was the best-selling LP, followed by the Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds.
Cassette sales also did well, topping 100,000 for a fourth consecutive year.
Not sure if that means Startime Records will be opening any time soon but it is an interesting development.

"Startime" hey.....shop and a market stall selling ex-jukebox singles with the middles missing. Playing records on an old Garrard deck and a salvaged valve amp with replacement valves from ITT.
Time for Startime, Our Price and Parrot to return to the town. Crikey, at one point we also had music departments in Woolies, at the back of WHSmith and upstairs in Boots.
Must be some sort of record!
