Harvey Centre team volunteer to help at Pet’s Corner

Entertainment / Tue 13th Aug 2024 at 02:43pm

IN July, The Harvey Centre team visited Pets’ Corner in Harlow Town Park to spend a few days volunteering!

The team enjoyed a rewarding few days, tackling tasks such as mucking out stables, cleaning pens, organising feeds, and, of course, showering all the animals with plenty of love! The Centre is proud to sponsor Harlow Town Park and is excited to continue contributing time and effort to this remarkable community resource.

In addition, to provide further support, Savills and Aston Services Group sent their maintenance team to assist Harlow Town Park by breaking up old equipment. Savills also purchased a pallet truck, while Aston Services Group supplied a 100-meter hose, a portable hose reel, extensions, and lockable tap heads. This new equipment will significantly enhance the efficiency of Harlow Town Park’s daily activities, making their work much easier.

Pets’ Corner is open daily* from 11am-4pm and is a free attraction for the public, relying on donations to support the care and welfare of its animals.

The facility boasts a diverse range of animals, from traditional farm animals like rabbits, chickens, and ducks to more exotic creatures such as reindeer, llamas, and alpacas. Additionally, it features rare breeds including Tamworth and Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, and an aquarium housing fish, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.

*Closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day

Bryan Young, Centre Manager, The Harvey Centre says, “We are proud to contribute our time and efforts to such an amazing community resource. The team thoroughly enjoyed tackling a variety of tasks, and we look forward to continuing our support for this local initiative.” For more information please visit:https://theharveycentre.com/contact-us/
