Education / Fri 8th Nov 2024 at 11:10am

IN response to the rapidly evolving educational and technological landscape, a series of free Generative AI training sessions have been scheduled for Harlow educators by The Innovation Network throughout the current academic year.

The Innovation Network aims to build Harlow’s understanding of and ability to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence to empower us all for the future, starting with schools and building up the skills of educators first. These sessions aim to bring together schools and teachers as they build their collective understanding of the potential of AI and to equip teachers and school leaders with the skills to effectively integrate AI technologies into their classrooms, enhancing teaching practices and student engagement.

Why Attend?

Generative AI offers transformative potential in education, especially in light of recent Department for Education (DfE) findings highlighting the importance of teacher preparedness in AI use. According to the DfE’s policy paper “Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education,” there is an urgent need for professional development to build AI knowledge among educators. To support this, the DfE has initiated guidance, resources, and professional development programs to help teachers use AI responsibly and effectively in classrooms.

Organised in collaboration with the Harlow Education Consortium (HEC), the sessions will be held at the Harlow Study Centre, starting at 4 pm on the following dates:
