WORK by officers has led to the conviction and sentencing of a drug dealer in Harlow.

Taylor Molineaux was arrested during a warrant in November last year as part of an investigation into the sale of Class A drugs in the town.

During the warrant, officers seized mobile phones, hundreds of pounds in cash, scales, and a quantity of Class A drug wraps.

On his phone, officers also identified messages relating to the sale of drugs.

He was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply cocaine.

The 21 year-old from Primrose Fields, Harlow admitted the charges at Chelmsford Crown Court on 23 December but denied a charge of acquiring, using, or possessing criminal property which was allowed to lie on file.

At the same court on Monday 21 February he was sentenced to a year and 10 months in prison suspended for two years and 200 hours of unpaid work.

He has also been ordered to pay back £240 in costs and forfeit the mobile phones and cash seized.

PC Alex Campion, from the Harlow Community Policing Team, said: “We won’t tolerate drug dealing in Harlow and will take action like this to deal with those responsible.
“If you have information about suspected drug dealing in our community it’s really important that your report it to us.

“If you don’t see immediate action, please don’t be deterred. All information reported to us is used to build a picture of what is taking place and who is responsible so we are able to build a case, make arrests, secure charges, and get convictions.”
