A HARLOW man has been charged with two counts of racially aggravated assault.

Erdal Tousson, aged 56, of Rectory Field, Harlow submitted a plea of not guilty to the following at Colchester magistrates court.

On June 8th, 2024, in Harlow, you did assault a male occasioning him actual bodily harm and the offence was racially aggravated within the terms of section 28 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

On June 8th, 2024, in Harlow, you did assault a person occasioning them actual bodily harm. Contrary to section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

A trial date at Cambridge magistrates court has been set for April 30th, 2025.
