Richard Michael White known affectionately as “Whitey”

Died at Lister Hospital following a stroke on February 21st, 2025, aged 55.
Much-loved son of Carol and brother of Catherine.
Funeral service to take place at 1-pm on Friday March 21st at Parndon Wood Crematorium followed by refreshments at Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club.
No flowers but donations may be made to The Stroke Association or Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club

Richard was a dedicated and hard-working sports reporter on the late lamented Harlow Star for a number of years. Cricket was his first love, but he had a very wide knowledge and great enthusiasm for a whole range of sports. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. RIP, Richard.
Richard was a friend of netteswell & burntmill cricket club..he scored for us and socialised after games, he was a great person.very interesting, he loved cricket , he was also an authority on music and the history of the music charts..he was a keen leeds united fan , like myself, he also kept and eye on his late dad's team barnsley..he will be missed by many people, he was definitely someone who gave back to society and will be missed but remembered by thoes who knew him.RIP RICHARD.
