Church Langley man charged over thousands of images of child abuse.

A CHURCH Langley resident is set to stand trial over a number of charges involving downloading images of child abuse.
Arup Patell aged 54, of Ashworth Place, Harlow has been charged with the following.
On August 22nd, 2023 at Harlow, you were in possession of 165 prohibited images of children.
On June 6th, 2023 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 5211 Category C images and videos, of a child.
On August 22nd, 2023 at Harlow distributed 44 Category A indecent videos of children.
On June 6th, 2023 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 2562 Category B images and videos, of a child.
On August 22nd, 2023 at Harlow distributed 46 Category C indecent photographs and 3 category 3 indecent videos of children.
On June 6th, 2023 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 3453 Category A images and videos, of a child.
On August 22nd, 2023, possessed extreme pornographic images, namely 185, which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse or oral sex with a live animal, namely dogs and horses, which were grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real.
On August 22nd, 2023, at Harlow distributed 7 Category B indecent videos of children.
The case has been sent to Chelmsford Crown Court for trial. Patel has been given unconditional bail.
Next appearance is scheduled for March 25th, 2025.
