Bingo Night to support Parenthood of Harlow

THE much respected Parenthood of Harlow may be forced to meet.
They meet at the Community House on Church Leys but they have told us that it is up for sale.
Owner of the community interest company, Marika Opara told us:

“I have some unfortunate news about The Parent Hood. My landlord has decided to put my community building on the market and it’s at risk of being sold off to developers.
“The asking price is very high and I need to raise funds to either purchase the building or find an alternative premises.
“My first event is a bingo night: Tuesday 27th May. 19:00 Novo Lounge, Harlow. £5pp
“We are hoping to get as many people there as possible and raise awareness of our fundraising campaign.

I attended the bingo night for parenthood tonight. It was a great night.The song bingo was amazing idea .I hope Marika keeps her building as it is a great community project. A big thankyou is deserved for the Novo lounge for giving her a boost . At least they have done something. Which is what counts. Well done for all the people that attended and helped in their own way. Our town deserves alot better. And the people that volunteer for the caring of our children and mothers and fathers are a credit to this town. Let's keep them.Its what gives Harlow it's character.
