Forever Flowers: St Clare hosts the perfect way to remember a loved one this summer

FOLLOWING its incredible success last year, St Clare Hospice’s Forever Flowers have returned —this time blooming in a beautiful, limited-edition pink, to pair perfectly with last year’s blue forget-me-nots.
In 2024, the hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign raised an impressive £7,000, thanks to the heartfelt dedications made by its supporters. This incredible amount of money could help cover the cost of running the hospice’s GriefLine for seven weeks, meaning that more people can access free bereavement support.

The bespoke forget-me-nots have been specially created for the Hospice charity. Each flower is individually handcrafted from iron, making it a durable and timeless keepsake. Forever Flowers are a striking garden feature, designed to complement the season’s natural blooms and brighten up a space – lasting well beyond the warmer months. For a suggested donation of £28 per flower, supporters can choose to display their Forever Flower in a location that holds personal significance.
Hayley Tamplin, Individual Giving Fundraiser at St Clare Hospice, said: “Add a pop of colour to your garden with a limited-edition iron forget-me-not this summer, or place it somewhere special—at home, by a loved one’s resting place, or even in the peaceful grounds of St Clare Hospice. Each bloom is a beautiful symbol of love and lasting connection and could also serve as a thoughtful gift for a birthday, an anniversary, or simply to celebrate someone dearly missed.”
Once a dedication is made, the flower will be available for collection in person during the Forever Flowers remembrance picnic. Supporters are invited to bring along family, friends, and a picnic to St Clare Hospice on Sunday 22nd June from 1–3pm for a heartfelt afternoon. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to relax and enjoy the occasion. During the event, they’ll have the opportunity to collect their bespoke forget-me-not from the hospice’s vibrant field of flowers.
After this date, flowers can still be collected from the hospice or delivered to a chosen address for an additional £5. For more information, or to buy a flower, supporters can head to stclarehospice.org.uk/foreverflowers, or call 01279 773700.
The event is open to all, regardless of any prior connection to St Clare Hospice. Everyone is welcome to make a dedication and attend the remembrance gathering.
