THERE was not a single representative from a Harlow-based running club in the senior Essex Cross Country Championships held in Basildon on Saturday.

The Essex Cross Country Champs took place at Gloucester Park in Basildon.

A total of 193 males competed in the Senior Mens Event and 127 women.

They represented over twenty different clubs across the county including Chelmsford, Southend, Thurrock, Woodford Green to name just a few.

Woodford Green and Essex Ladies (WGEL) won the mens team championships.

Havering AC won the women’s team championships.
