CHILDREN in Year 1 enjoyed an action-packed Superhero Day as they arrived at school dressed as their favourite heroes for a day full of fun, learning, and excitement.

From caped crusaders and comic book characters to everyday heroes, the children proudly showed off their creative costumes while taking part in superhero-themed activities throughout the day.

A highlight of the event was a special visit from the local ambulance service. The children were thrilled to meet the paramedics, explore the ambulance, and learn all about the important work emergency services do to help people every day.

The visit gave pupils the opportunity to ask questions, discover how ambulances are equipped, and understand how real-life heroes care for others in the community.

Teachers said the day was a fantastic success, helping to inspire the children while also encouraging discussions about kindness, bravery, and helping others.

One member of staff said: “The children had an amazing day. They loved dressing up and were especially excited to meet the ambulance crew. It was a wonderful way to celebrate both fictional superheroes and the real heroes who help us every day.”

The school would like to thank the ambulance service for taking the time to visit and make the day so memorable for the children
