Harlow man pleads guilty to assault and menaces charge

A HARLOW man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman and other charges.

James Morton, aged 34, of Moorfield, Harlow appeared at Chelmsford magistrates court in relation to the following.

On April 26th, 2025 at Essex assaulted a female by beating her.

On March 1st 2025, at Harlow, sent by means of a public electronic communications network a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.

On July 21st, 2025, at Harlow sent by means of a public electronic communications network a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.

Morton was remanded on conditional bail. Next hearing in magistrates’ court is July 27th, 2026.
