Former Essex Police officer set to appear in court charged with rape

A FORMER Essex Police officer is due to appear in court to face a charge of rape.
Former PC Mark Ling, 38, formerly of Ipswich has been charged in connection with an alleged offence in north Essex in March 2013.
He is currently remanded in custody and due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday 1 July).
