Two men told the victim, a man in his 90s, that he had damaged their hire car at the Sainsbury’s car park at around 12.05pm on March 15 and that he must pay them a four-figure sum to cover their deposit.

One of the men then accompanied the victim to the Nationwide in Post Office Walk where he withdrew a four-figure sum in cash.
