AN independent film created by a Harlow resident has been officially selected for the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival.
As part of Majestas Group, Vince Lawrence (Harlow resident) and his business partner Sue Kimpton-Brown utilised a cast of young talent from Essex, London and Sussex, (many of whom have experienced bullying first hand) to create ‘Bullied’.
Based on true stories and inspired by real life situations, ‘Bullied’ aims to promote awareness of the physical and mental repercussions of bullying, and highlight the detrimental impact it can have on a persons mental health.
Shot in Kent, the film hopes to get more people talking about many of the relevant issues affecting children and young adults today, such as the growing mental health crisis, suicide, the impact of social media, peer pressure and drug use.
‘Bullied’ is in post production and will be released later this year.
