HARLOW Running Club member Michael Woodruff finished first in his age group at the Mersea Island 5 Mile race finishing in 6th place out of 96 finishers and 1st Vet 50 in 34min 10sec on what was a very warm Sunday morning.

Meanwhile at the Run Through Lee Valley Velo Park 10 Mile race Laura Prime finished in 21st place out of 62 finishers and 2nd Female Vet 40 in 1.30.03.

On an equally warm Saturday morning many runners completed various parkruns up and down the country.

At Hoddesdon parkrun Tom Quinn finished in 4th place out of 175 finishers in 19.11 and Jane Evans was 76th in 29.04.

At Roding Valley parkrun Kirk Crudgington finished in 7th place out of 144 finishers in 19.19.

At Clacton Seafront parkrun Lee Webber finished in 6th place out of 202 finishers in 20.44 and Sandra Webber was 56th in 27.40.

At Bishop’s Stortford parkrun Justin Patten finished in 65th place out of 372 finishers in 23.30, Bill Brunton was 130th in 26.39(PB), Jason Haigh 149th in 27.17, Celia Haigh 257th in 30.36 and Helen Brunton 331st in 36.39.

At Ware parkrun Sean Flynn finished in 17th place out of 65 finishers in 23.48.

At Holkham parkrun in Norfolk Kelly Burgess finished in 91st place out of 363 finishers in 25.09.
